Lesley Davidson

This spry painting was created by Beyond the Brushes member, Lesley Davidson. Lesley is in the final year of her Bachelor of Fine Arts and joined the community at the beginning of 2020 to grow as an artist. Though it has only been a year, her experiences in the community have caused her to feel like she has been a part of Beyond the Brushes for a lifetime. And with the change in direction she has made because of it, it's easy to see why...

 

"I love Beyond the Brushes because the support from the group is immense, and I've not only grown as an artist but as a person since becoming a member. It's encouraged me to expand my own art practice and even start a business. I began my arts degree as a photography major, but because I enjoyed Elevate Your Art painting so much, I took classes in both drawing and painting, which I didn't have the confidence for previously."
