Patti Struchynski
This fetching painting was completed by Beyond the Brushes member, Patti Struchynski. A bit overwhelmed in her fur painting class after purchasing the Photoshop Clone Painting - Complete Fur Painting Collection in May 2019, Patti joined Beyond the Brushes on the opening day in September that same year.
The real catch about Patti is she had ZERO prior painting experience/formal art training (unless we count her contributions to the art community during childhood through finger painting and paint-by-number projects). Her studies were focused on earning a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics.
During her time learning in the Beyond the Brushes community, Patti has built up her foundational paint skills and jumped back into fur painting! Going beyond her own expectations, Patti said, "I never in a million years would have thought I could create images like this."
She said the most difficult part of this painting was painting realistically colored fur where there wasn't any and making the fur look layered, but wow! Turning off the analytics and painting something you love obviously works well for her. What a stunning end result!
When I asked Patti about her overall experience inside Beyond the Brushes, she had this to say...
"I have tried Photoshop paint filters, but was never able to fully create the images in my head. Beyond the Brushes has taught me so much, and I am so excited to continue on with this learning to paint journey. I look forward to the images I will create in the years to come."
