Traci Newlin

This stunning painting was completed by Beyond the Brushes member, Traci Newlin. Looking at this stunning work of art, you'd never know Traci has absolutely no painting experience prior to entering Beyond the Brushes in September of 2019.

Traci says she's taken several painting classes in Corel Painter, but always forgot within a few weeks what she had learned. In her own words...

"Corel Painter was too complex for me. Photoshop is so straightforward."

When I asked Traci what she found most challenging about creating this painting she said...

"For this painting, the hardest part was deciding the background. I am in a soft mode here lately. I enjoyed creating this because it was so sweet. I wanted to convey the sweetness the little girl showed with her aging pet."
